Life is perfect for Rax. He lives on a beautiful planet that has been at peace for centuries. As the heir to the throne, he has a pampered existence of luxury and ease. Then reports are received of a barbaric warrior race who are swarming through the galaxy, killing and enslaving everyone in their path. As the Mad Emperor’s troops conquer more worlds, a mad scramble ensues to secure political alliances through any means possible, including Rax being betrothed to an unknown princess from a distant planet.
“The Emperor must be stopped. He is a filthy black cloud of disease that is creeping over the galaxy. Left unchecked, he will infect and destroy everything in his path. He cares for nothing but power. His greed and lust are without limit, and it is up to good men and women to oppose him and end his reign of terror.”
When the unthinkable happens, Rax is lost to the Mad Emperor and his brutal plans for the galaxy and all the worlds it contains. Unable to remember who and what he is, Rax exists solely to fight in the Emperor’s glorious war, brainwashed to believe he is on the side of right. Then a stranger comes into his life that makes him question everything as long-buried memories begin to surface.

Rilla lost everything in one blood-soaked day. Her world, her people, her friends, her parents, and her brother. Left alone, the naïve and terrified young princess needs help to even survive. As Rilla grows to maturity and becomes a key player in this brutal game of war, she must make strong political alliances with races that will fight with her to reclaim her world. But is Rilla prepared to play her ultimate card — herself — in a marriage of strategic importance?
